"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

This is a problem I'm always facing with women I DJ. Somehow, women believe they are too fat, ugly, or any combination of absurd things to even consider the fact that you are hitting on them, even though they are gorgeous.

I always thought that I could take advantage of these types of people, maybe by getting them thinking you are the only one who finds them attractive (which isn't true), they would be more inclined to be seduced by me. But it doesn't really work out. They ignore anything you do.
I'll even say something totally absurd and AFC just for the fun of it, like "You are very pretty," and they'll shrug it off, saying they are ugly, and ignoring the fact that you practically just kissed their feet.

Do you have any ideas on ways to take advantage of women who are feeling this way?

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

yeah... when they mention that they feel fat, ugly, etc... they are fishing for compliments.

and what you did is you took the bait and gave them just what they wanted.

plus you sound too polite if you're trying to get into any sexual relation with them.

---

either say nothing about their looks and continue a different topic (if you aren't dating or serious with each other)

or say "what are you talking about? you hot!" (which is better if you ARE dating).

or throw in a lame-funny canned line like (works for dating or not):
you- "...what? i thought you were in karate?"
her- "what? why?"
you- "because i think your sh-t is kickin'!"

Making a joke, or changing subjects seem like a fine idea. I just wondered if there was anyway to get a DHV out of the situation without saying the truth, and hurting their feelings, or saying they are hot, and being AFC.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
