Have any of you seen the 1993 movie "Indecent Proposal?" The movie stars Robert Redford, Woody Harrelson, and Demi Moore. It is one of those movies that makes you sit and THINK......
Woody and Demi are married and don't have much money. They come into $5K and decide to try their luck at the craps in Las Vegas. Demi attacts the attention of billionaire Robert Redford, and then they lose all their money. Redford asks Woody if he would let him have ONE NIGHT with his wife for One Million Dollars. Demi and Woody both are insulted, but Reford poses the argument: "One night will come and go, but the million dollars will last a lifetime." They think it over that night, and decide to go for it.....
Me and my girl were watching this, and when Demi goes off with Redford, she actually got MAD at Woody for "letting his wife go off with that man for the money." She actually believes this crock, that the man was guilty, and Demi was the victim who HAD to go and get this million dollars. So I shot back with, "well, he can't MAKE her do something she doesn't want to do." I said that just as the scene went to Demi in the ladies room checking her makeip and looking like a million dollars herself. That started it. She got mad a t me for the rest of the day. I just blew it off, which made her madder.
If there is ANY way a woman can shift the blame and put it on the guy, she WILL. I think that all women either hate men at some level, or they resent the he!! out of us.
