Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

i've made some big damn improvements lately...i went from talking to no girls all year to seeing 3 different girls at the same time. one who im not interested in anymore, and the other two i just had a "date" with this week. im good at getting the covnersation going, they show some interest, lots of eye contact, lots of touching on the arm, hitting. but i havent been able to get myself to make a ****ing move. i went to movie with one of them last night...she was leaning on me, but i couldnt get myself to put my arm around her or get any kino going. guys gimme ur expereince with this. i guess i just have to suck it up and stop be ing a *****. too much negative talk in my head as soon as i think about making a move on any of them.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Yeah, you just have to get over your fear of doing it. Like anything, you may not come off all that smooth the first few times, but it'll all work out in the longrun. After making a certain 'move' a few times, it loses most of it's scariness and doesn't seem like a big deal at all.

You could always find little ways to build up to it, like putting your arm around female friends in a jokey way, etc.
