"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Hello guys it's been a long time since I last came here. I doubt many of you know but I was enlisted into a conscript army roughly close to a year ago.

As of now, my life is complete sh!t and I find myself hating every single hour of it.

I have been put into a hostile working environment everyday for 12 hours, with no regular working hours. Ranging from anything at 3am to 6pm on weekdays. Even then, my weekends are considered a previlege than entitlement, being called back on weekends have become a norm.

I mean I really feel like complete shvt right now. I'm stuck in some airbase which I don't particularly enjoy my job. I've lost 16lbs of muscle due to absolutely no time for working out (I'm already very light do you can picture a 120lbs male losing 16lbs.)

I've signed up for a business club to get myself ahead before I go to university but this conscript army shvt has really been screwing with my progress. I feel that I'm getting nowhere ahead in life these 2 years. It's something I can't change but its certainly something I want to try to alleviate all this frustration building inside me.

Honestly, I feel like I'm stuck in the rat race of life, powerless to take charge. What can I do to regain my grasp over my own living these 2 years?

I remember you. What country are you serving?

You have only a little more than a year to go. Resolve to leverage it, to ruthlessely TAKE from it. Become so ruthless with taking that you start to feel that a year is nowhere near enough time.

Reframe yourself to value every task, every hardship as money in your bank of character building. Tell yourself every waking hour that you are a man of strength and resilience, and that this short stint in the army is going to catupult you to great things in life. It's going to be your launching pad. It's changing you, making you stronger every day. Detach from the immediate discomfort and consider this discomfort as equivalent to the pain of a muscle being pushed to its limits in order to enjoy increased strength tomorrow.

Will you allow the weight of this temporary discomfort squash you or will you climb on top of it and use it as a force to push off against? Keep looking for the value in your circumstances. What are the positives? WHat can you turn around from a negative into a positive?

If you are cleaning toilets, be the best toilet cleaner who ever lived. Money in your internal bank. If you are working 12 hours every day, work for 12 hours and one minute every day. Demonstrate to yourself that you can choose mastery over your circumstances and your skills.

It's all about reframing what things mean to you. USE this experience and ruthelessly TAKE from it. This circumstance demands much from you. Well, then you demand from it. Demand so much that you feel privileged to have the opportunity to plunder the army for the benefit of the strengthening of your character.

In about a year you will emerge a much stronger individual with the innate knowledge that you you can handle anything.

Picture a lion staring fiercely into a camera covered in blood after ruthlessly taking what it wanted and eating it. In fact, find a picture like that on the web and print it out for yourself. Don't find a clean one - find a bloody one who just kicked his environment's ass. Are you the lion who lives in the hot, uncomfortable plains taking what he desires, or are you the gazelle who flitters about with indecision, waiting to be consumed by his environment?

My bet is that you're the lion.

Take.

well since its conscripted you can't do much if not endure, but you have 2 choices here, do the bare minimum enough to keep the sarges out of your back but not enough for then push too much things on you, or you do everything and with any chance to get a promotion or something who make you a little better in rank then the others soldiers so you can take a little more easy.

also strange you losing weight normally they alwyas make the drills almost 3 times a week

if you are able to get decent food, you can always do calethenics. One of the US's pow's somehoe lucked out in NAM and had food enough in prison that he was able to drive himself to be able until to walk on his hands, and do handstand pushups. I once saw a Tv show where a man born without forearms had taught himself to open a wallet with his foot/toes, take out and put away money, while on crutches.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Canada, eh?
Should have gone to school, now you are royally f$&cked. Is there anyway you could be considered medically unfit for service or those guys don't care how much underweight you are?
