"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I went out for some drinks last night on my own, kinda hoping I'd run into this one girl whom I haven't seen in a few months. She wasn't there, but this one ( http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=108175 ) was, with a couple of her friends. Didn't even notice because it was so crowded. Originally, I had every intention of just not making contact with her anymore, but she came over and started talking to me. A lot of touching on her part (rubbing my back, rubbing her t1ts into me whenever she could, feeling how big my arms are, blah blah ...), but I just kinda ignored it because she was way more drunk that I ever bothered to get last night. I did eventually go over and chat with them.

She was talking to some dude, and her one friend said something to me about how she's becoming a lesbian for a while because she broke up with her boyfriend. The other girl with them is 100% homo. Then she said the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

"I'd be with you, but you sorta belong to (her name here)."

What the **** is that supposed to mean? Is this some sort of control bullsh1t?

Then the girl who said this tabbed out, paying for at least two of them. I asked if they weren't drinking anymore, to which she replied, "You're buying our drinks now.". I just smiled and bought myself a drink.

The girl from the story in the link began acting really weird around then. I don't know if it was from the drinking, being depressed about something, or being tired, but they all left.

After all the bumping and grinding earlier, all I got was a ****ing hug as she left, telling me to call her "... but not saturday. A friend (her ex, apparently, whom she still has some hang up about, despite him dumping her two years ago for some big chick... shes been single ever since) is coming into town tomorrow. Call me sunday."

I might... I dunno.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Hate to break it to you but it sounds like this chick considers you to be her lap dog (which her friend more or less confirmed with the 'you belong to her' comment). You're just supposed to keep her entertained by buying her drinks and taking her to the movies until the other guy makes time for her.
