"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

I know people are going to be pissed for me asking this, but im always wrong and i need others opinions.
Theres this girl (Trisha) in my writing class. We've exchanged glances a few times b4 in class, but nothing big. She always sits next to her friend in class, no surprise. On Wednesday there was a spot open next to me and another dude. Trisha took the seat between me and the dude leaving her friend high and dry. She mentioned something to her friend about her keyboard being sticky and i looked up and we both looked at each other and laughed. I later talked to her, had another laugh together. B4 i left i said, have a nice weekend. She said, you too. I just smiled at her and walked off. Wanna leave some mystery.
To me, because she left her best friend with no spot next to her (Trisha), that it is a good sign. But ive been burned by assuming the wrong idea many times b4. Am i wrong to assume that Trisha is interested?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Let good ol' Silq answer this one for ya'.

No. Don't do it.

Man, you guys realize that overanalyzing is a damn female attribute, right? I think it's time some of you go hunting and shoot some animals, drink its blood and eat its meat and wear the hide as a trophy.

((Trisha)) is most likely just being friendly.

If you're serious about it then go get her number and set something up, otherwise...

The fact that she left her friend, whom she always sat by b4. No girl would ever leave her friend without some kind of other motive. There were plenty of places where they could have sat next to each other. My gut feeling is that Trisha likes me.

My gut feeling is that you're taking random events and trying to interpret them so they benefit you. If your horoscope that day said, "New love interests are everywhere", you probably would've taken this as a sign that they were right.

In summary: Could mean something, could mean nothing. I'll believe she's interested when you get her phone number. ;)

Don't overanalyze but it's atleast a GOOD incident and not a negative one so try to get her nr or build some rapport with her.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

thanks superchristx, i think. The point i was trying to make was that she always sat by her friend b4, this time she sat next to me leaving her friend high and dry. Women normally dont leave their friends without some kind of other motive. And amybe it was the way she looked at me when we talked. Either way, next class will determine how she feels. If she sits by me agains, im money, if not, it was just a coincidence she sat by me
