"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

So I'm 10 weeks into my first year at uni.

And I'm finding things pretty tough lady wise. I've gotten half a dozen numbers, but EVERY SINGLE ONE has a boyfriend, but neglected to inform me first. Yep, they somehow lost interest between me getting the number and calling them. Yikes, I think I'm just having a bad period

But I'm also finding it hard to find someone I "click" with. I meet a fair few girls every day (it's a big course), but they're either taken, flakey, nuts, stereotypically mallgirlish, or any other irritating adjective.

Haha, yes, I'm picky. Maybe I shouldn't be.

Part of the problem is that I don't fit in. Anywhere. Not that this is a bad thing, I quite enjoy the nomadicism, but finding someone similar is no mean feat. There's the music hurdle, then the geek hurdle, then the surfer hurdle

I'm pretty confident in myself, I've been reading and working on this for nearly 2 years now, and I have my fair share of tools of the trade. But I have very, VERY little experience pass making out. This gives me unnecessary nervousness also.

Eh, this post is mostly cathartic. Hopefully, someone reading this, having stopped their fingers typing "Just go and get laid already" or "Read the Bible retard", could offer something. Or not, at least I've sorted my mind out.

I dno what the next step will be. Lowering my standards? Not likely, I'm a perfectionist and ambitious. Settling for someone just to rid myself of the "virgin" moniker? More likey, but still less likely than snow in hell (one of the WARM rings  ).

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Well back when I was in university I remember dating a girl after 2 days. During our first few weeks there were constant parties and women were everywhere. I find it hard to believe that a bunch of the women have BFs simply because of the distance. My school was 3 hours from home.

I'd clarify a simple question to your conversation you have with them.
"Where is home?". If they say something like 2-3 hours away - your in...
If they say I live at home with my parents then they potentially have a BF around in the same boat.

I think your in is playing the Long Distance card. We all know that it doesn't work so there should be all kinds of women breaking up with their LD BFs in first year.
