"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Hey ya'll,

Maybe you guys remember me from a few months ago. Me and my situation with "Amy". Well, a couple of weeks ago Amy moved out of our house, finally, after 3 months, and I now have my own bed to sleep in once again... let me tell you, couches get old after that long.

Well, things were going OK right before she left. I told you about my AFC lil bro, who has a huge crush on her and treats her like gold and he wants nothing else in the world other than to be with her. She takes it with... good humour, I guess. But she has no feelings for him, of course. Views him as yet another one of those silly little boys. :)

Well, I've been listening to what you guys have been saying, and it's been working. I talk with her when it's convenient for me. Blah blah. And when I abruptly started almost ignoring her, not rude, mind you, just not going out of my way to acknowledge she exists, she got very confused. As the only hot girl in our entire home school group, I assure you she wasn't used to such treatment. She became very, very confused.

So she moves out, with the rest of her family. She gets settled. A couple weeks afterwards, I decide to be nice for a bit, and seeing as she is really addicted to a flash game series, I emailed her the link to the latest one to see if she had seen it yet. She hadn't. And I swear, she sends me so many emails now, it clogs up my inbox. If it wasn't for a strict dad, she would be calling me too, I'm sure. She is going out of her way to find web sites she thinks I would find interesting, she is talking about nothing in particular, saying LOL at every oppurtunity, it's nuts. I couldn't get rid of this girl now if I wanted to. Of course, I wait at least 4 days to reply to any of her messages, and I never answer all of her too many questions. Girls are quite inquisitive. :)

Most of this, of course, is because I am not crazy about her anymore. While I used to worship the ground she tread on, now I find myself thinking about her less and less. And it upsets her. Which is awesome. It's like, reverse something. I like her less, she likes me more. Way too easy. Way too cool.

I just wanted to let you guys know that you are awesome, and I have learned something more valuable from you guys than just how to snatch a chick: I have learned how to overcome oneitis. And that in itself is one valuable skill.

Also, at my swim team, which meets only over the summer, there are two girls who do not even know my name, but have total and complete crushes on me. They will do anything to get the slightest favor from me... they are constantly saying "Hey there" and "Can I have a high five?" blah blah, they won't leave me alone. It's kindof annoying, actually. But in a cool way.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

And sorry, but I am hardly foolish enough to give away my address, even my city, to someone I "met" on the internet. :)

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Well done!

Don't take so long to answer her emails though. Four days?

Ok... I assumed that since we wait 4-5 days for phone calls, same for emails. Of course, I forgot that that only applies when we are first "hooking up" with them. She views me as at least a friend, and waiting is just... stupid. Rude, if nothing else. Thanks for letting me see the light!
