backbreaker
Master Don Juan
would you tell the police?
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?
She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."
She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.
I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.
Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.
I grew up in a rough area (actually not that far from the club)... you don't have to tell me twice. I know someone who got killed (when I was younger) because the guy THOUGHT he snitched on him on a drug bust.so do it anonymously - untraceable to you/your home
honestly.. not really. But wouldn't you want to clear your conscience knowing you DID make a difference...?
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
Actually you should report it ASAP, if you don`t and the cops find out that you were at the scene, they can pin this whole BS on YOU. It`s prob too late to report now since they`ll think your hiding something. People are dumbasses... not reporting a murder is bad... what if the shooter framed you? He could easily leave the gun at your place and testify in court. If your so worried about your life, buy a gun and then join the witness protection service.backbreaker said:what I am saying is I try to stay out of other people's business. It's gotten me this far.
How do you know that he didn`t take you lisence car number down? He can easily trace it back to your parents house and plant it there. That`s why just join the witness protection ASAP until you go back... also if you identify him in jail they don`t need you to be in court. So I did read the post thanks...but hey if the guy gets caught and you get invovled... your looking at neglecting to report a crime, which could get you jail time. Goodluck with that.backbreaker said:how can he leave it at my PLACE? I don't live there. I live half way across the country. i was at a night club.
I have a gun, but it's half way across the country.
people will do anything to protect themselves. A crazy guy like that I treat teh same way as a woman. Meaning, throw all rationality out of the window.
if he saw me again and he knew I told the police, do you really think he is oging to take all the time to depher all that information? No, he's going to make sure I'm not a witness against him in his soon to be court case.
I'm not telling the police that he beat a guy up.. he's looking at a capital murder rep.. here that's the needle. So again...you think I'm going to get in the way of a man who literarly has nothing to loose and everything to gain?
me getting framed is the least of my concerns. no fingerprints, and he never saw me... at least I don't think. and you ovbiously didn't read the post

you still didn't take the time to read the post. How do you know that he didn`t take you lisence car number down? He can easily trace it back to your parents house and plant it there.
I didn't grow up in a bad city or anything but I also knew someone who got killed over something similar. Actually, he was brutally murdered, and they never found out who did it. No suspects. I mean, most of us knew the gang who was responsible, but no one was going to say anything or get killed too. And no one knew who specifically pulled the trigger. I'm white by the way, and the guy I knew as also white.backbreaker said:I grew up in a rough area (actually not that far from the club)... you don't have to tell me twice. lol you should have said you had a RENTAL CAR... don`t blaim me for assuming the worst...backbreaker said:you still didn't take the time to read the post.
first off.. i"m a grown ass man. I don't have **** in my families name. even if i did it doesn't matter because it's a RENTAL CAR. i'd like to see them plant a gun at Enterprise. Plus there were 5 or so cars out side, it's a regular neighborhood, just parked like in normal places. I doubt he had the ware withal to just start jotting numbers down and planting ****. your post is stupid and immature.
even if he did so happen to find out where my parents there... my finger prints aren't on it
if I was going to join witness protection I just won't say ****.
I'll take neglecting to report a crime over a bullet in the head any day of the week. I know a couple of very good laywers.. that's the least of my concern.
Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.
She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.
Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.
So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.
The words come later. The impression comes first.
