To not take people's criticisms seriously. Lots of things I started but never finished that could have went well, had I not listened to people.

Yep 1 basic psychological principle that people don't like to see other people do well. That's why I'm proud to be a member on this forum generally we try and lift each other up

Stop drinking when you get to that strip club in Charleston.

Also, what the other guys said.

For me it'd be to carry yourself better. Before the red pill I was dumb. Had I known what I know now I wouldn't have missed out on so many opportunities.

I can do better than my previous post.

Time is the most precious commodity. Everyone knows that money is a finite resource, but not many people like to think of their lives in the same way.

You need to determine what means the most to you and try to spend as much time as you can doing that. This is where the previous posters come in: who cares if you're the only one that likes it? It doesn't matter. We're all spending our lives how we deem best, and if someone doesn't like what you choose, then fvck them. Let them live their life. And if they feel the need to physically impose their beliefs on you, well then hopefully you're prepared. I actually enjoy the preparation. That leads me to my next paragraph.

Learn how to fight and take a punch. I was lucky enough to go to a half white, half black school where the blacks picked on us. If you weren't so lucky haha, go to a fight school or get a punching bag.

Lift weights. Don't read magazines that tell you how to pump your biceps. That's all bullsh1t. Do your research on the internet and learn how to deadlift, squat, bench press, shoulder press and chin. Find out how to become strong and stick to it. Consistency is key...and eating enough.

If you weren't raised around guns, you should shake off that gay liberal fear and shoot one. It feels great, and it's the only way you can ever truly protect yourself. I don't know about you, but when I read horror stories in the news, I put myself in that situation - I wonder what I could have done differently. Well, maybe I could have shot them...

Patience.

Play the long game, not the short game. I was good about this moreso in business and with money, not so good with this with women and being a more well rounded person and some of the other ideas that I had / dreams I wanted and still want to fulfill.

Quoted from one of my own posts in Don Juan Tips, 12/22/2014:

Lately, I have been thinking a lot about the people and situations I have dealt with in my life.

I think back to now naive I was about people and life for so many many many years, and I just go "WOW".

wow.....

If I had Doc Brown's time machine from Back to the Future and could go back in time and talk little 5 year old Lefty in 1979 about what lied ahead for him in life, here is what I would tell him:

- Hey Lefty, people in general are going to lie to you all the time. Even people you think you should be able to trust like teachers, police, Judges, bosses at places, people you work with, women you date, even family. If something doesn't feel right about what someone says to you, then it's probably not right.

- Hey Lefty, people in general will talk about you behind your back

- Hey Lefty, people will take advantage of you and you must protect yourself or you will loose the things you own and have worked for

- Hey Lefty, people in general will pretend to be your friend but they may not actually be.

- Hey Lefty, always be willing to work hard to get what you want. Don't take shortcuts.

- Hey Lefty, many people do not like to work hard like your mother, father, and grandparents do. If they can trick you into doing their work for them while they sit and do nothing, they often will. Don't let them trick you into doing their work and taking ownership of THEIR problems.

- Hey Lefty, learn to recognize two general types of people. People who speak the language of facts and honesty, and people who speak the language of lies and dishonesty. Some people do some of both, but lean towards one or the other. This may not be easy to determine at first. But with every single person you meet, you must figure them out in this way.

- Hey Lefty, document everything you do. People will accuse you of doing things or not doing things and you will constantly have to prove that you did what was right. Save every paper you get for 7 years at least. Make copies of everything you write like notes, etc. Take pictures of things you do and see with a camera and save them in case you need them later, even things you may not think are worth taking a picture of.

- Hey Lefty, even the Government is not your friend, even though they should be someone you can trust 100%. Same for them applies to other people; if something doesn't feel right then it's probably not

- Hey Lefty, always admit your mistakes

- Hey Lefty, don't let people abuse you. If someone punches you in the face, punch them back.

- Hey Lefty, when you decide what kind of person you are, be that person and don't let anyone change you.

- Hey Lefty, there are places where you need to have manors but there are also places where it's OK to be the rude and crude redneck comedian like mom sometimes is when she is with her friends. It's OK to be like that.

- Hey Lefty, girls and women are not the innocent little flowers you are told they are. In fact, they can often be "meaner" than men and boys. Don't trust ANY of them until they prove to you that you can.

- Hey Lefty, girls do not want a "nice sweet boy" who treats them kindly like mom tells you. Take a look around the playground at the other boys who have all the girls around them, and just do what they do for right now until you get to be an adult.

- Hey Lefty, in 12 years from now, in the year 1992 when you are 18 years old, you are going to be introduced to this thing called the Internet with a bunch of computers. A few years later there is going to be this place there called "Sosuave.com". Find this place. Go there. Start reading. And listen to what these guys tell you, specifically about the women you will date and possibly marry. DO NOT GET INTO ANY SERIOUS RELATIONSHIPS WITH ANY WOMEN UNTIL YOU DO THIS!!!

- Hey Lefty, watch out for your sister <lefty sister>. In the year 2012 she is going to do something to you that is beyond what you can comprehend a sister could do to a brother. After that you will never want to talk to her again. If you go to the sosuave.com place before 2012 you will learn that she is a woman, and even though she is your sister, that doesn't mean you trust her. But you can trust mom, I promise you that.

- Hey Lefty, never ever ever ever do illegal drugs. But there is one legal drug I want you to find. It's a "red pill" that they will tell you about on this sosuave.com place. Find that pill and swallow it.

Good luck kid.

To 16 year old me:

- DO NOT ENTER A CASINO

- When you throw up, its probably time to stop drinking.

- Not all people are of good nature, learn the red flags.

- S3x is not as important as you think. Your gonna pull a lot of girls in the next year and refrain from banging them, shame on you.

- Once this time is gone, its gone, make the most of it.

- No matter how long you have known someone and how close you have been to them, they can turn into an as$hole.

- Don't let injury get in the way of you getting to the gym, don't let it get to you.

- Travel is great, your gonna do a lot, but do more!

This, first of all. Time waits for no man. Also,

Partying with friends is fun once in a while, but it does not feed the soul. Celebrate when you have something to celebrate.

Do what's best for you. Not what's best for God, or country, or family. You. A miserable self will be of no use to those other parties, anyway.

Mind, body, soul. Keep all healthy and hungry.

Don't take others too seriously. Don't take yourself too seriously.

Find your mission. Be honest with yourself about it and pursue it.

That's all for now. More coffee needed.

I can think of a lot of things I would have liked to have done differently, but I've seen enough time travel science fiction to realize that messing with your past is a tricky thing. Changing one thing can have unforeseen consequences. For instance, if I was better with women when I was younger, maybe I would have gotten some girl pregnant, who knows? At this point I don't think I would change anything, other than maybe to give myself stock tips :)

I'd advise myself in University to stay away from the Stock Market, don't take Real-Estate licensing courses, don't go to University at all, instead learn a practical trade like an electrician or some specialized trade, get into an apprentice program, and get into the work-force and make some money then try moving out of parents house when able to pay rent and afford basic necessities and see where that goes. Not enough exposure to the job market and aggressively applying for a proper job. Think the biggest mistake was taking a loan to go to University without knowing what I wanted to do and then eyeing the ladies or social clubs, playing the stock market, going into Real-Estate, and basically being in space the whole time.

What would you warn yourself of?
I don't know. I've always thought since very young that you must be PHYSICAL to get things done. To take action, or you're nothing. I'd tell myself to just READ and study better/more to get the exclusive non-physical job, like my brother did (he had a seamless success, no interruptions, just at 17 was on his career path and making straight A's impressing management everywhere he went, getting FREE education paid for by whatever company he was Head-hunted for. Companies sought him out! due to his Value -- Brain). I never took the books as seriously as I should have, but at least now I read the RIGHT books and not what the universities WANT me to read -- Politically Correct garbage. My brother was old school (he's older) and I think that he could sift through ANY Politically Correct garbage that came his way, but surely as you're sitting there, he knew how to play the Politically Correct game in business. Of course, he'd have to do that to be successful Millionaire.

I would tell myself to READ more, don't play sports as much, and just focus on Career EARLY, because most of your life is gonna be spent Working/Sleeping. I have a good career, but it's Physically Demanding and I'm getting older. Sometimes I wish I were at a desk or able to enjoy the weather or be sheltered from the weather. I can't think about Anything but Work while working. I see White collar people (ESPECIALLY in government, federal, state, local, you name it) being able to just Relax, take a break, a Smoke break...Many of them. For many of them, it's a cover-your-ass game while MINE is pure bonafide Hard as5 labor. They need a gym, I don't. But the cracks are beginning to show in my health/sanity. My eyes mainly are growing older, more tired, delirious even. Physical exertion is Fine when you are a young buck. You don't realize the Long-term, how like Brett Farve, like all the QBs turning almost 40, that they simply are wearing out! and can't go no further. You become like an animal. Your physique gets larger while your brain shrinks and vice versa.

There's a threshold. You become shorter of breath and one day closer to death. You begin to NOTICE it. Early on in life, you take breath or breathing for granted. It's easy. You're young. You say you're free n' young, but you must realize that every action you take chips away at your energy in the end. It degrades you, like an Intel Processor chip degrades over time with heat, elements and outside forces, like I don't know, maybe, surgery under anesthesia (under the knife). You get parts cut inside your body, your chemistry changes, your food is digested differently than before, your cells change. They say that every 7 years all your cells you once had have died and you are almost like a new person, and that every moment you are dying and growing cells so YOU essentially are a snapshot in time and not really YOU, but a living constant change biologically.

I do not SEE how though, in my daily life, how ALL THESE PEOPLE can OWN a $500K plus home or 900K+ home and feel like they will EVER pay it off and WHY in the world would they put themselves under such dire pressure. How are there soooooo many ABLE to afford so many luxury homes?? I mean, I WORK soooo hard, but would be unwilling to get the most house I could afford just to impress. I wonder, there's no way these people are working Harder than I do. How do so many of them pull it off?? but I digress.

Having a house paid off is more important to me than having a large impressive house. People are so sure of themselves in these 4X-the-cost-of-mine homes. Sure they have high standards, but how do SO MANY of them pull it off?? knowing how almost ALL of them could NEVER work as hard as I do Physically. A lawyer does (doctors), but all others, how?

Look into construction inspection. There's good, stable money in it. And it's better on the knees.
I used to be an appraiser, but left that job cause I didn't like where I lived and it was government and everyone was lazy as fvck. If I'd stayed, I probably wouldn't be as healthy or wealthy or fit as I am now, but work would almost be like play if I had stayed. Permit inspection was a divergent field I could have gone into, new construction and add-ons barns etc. I would measure all that sh!t and rate its condition. It was a JOKE. Property shouldn't be taxed. You NEVER own it or ANYTHING cept personal property -- gold, silver, guns, ammo, food, water. How can anyone have any peace of mind if you don't own where you LIVE?
