If girl doesnt answer she has BF or not, what dose it mean?

I ask a girl (One of my classmate but I didnt talk to her for a long time) "Do you have BF?" but she doesnt answer and ask me back "What about you?" in flirt way and then change the topic of conversation.

What does it mean when girl doesnt answer that she has BF or single?

I mean it is easy if you just say "I'm single or I have BF already" Why so complex.

I need some advice.

There are way better ways to find out - like asking her out or just listening to her as she talks about stuff.

Asking a girl if she has a BF gives her an easy out.
As tictac said, just ask a girl out. You'll definitely know if she's single or not then.

She will drop the boyfriend bomb if she's not interested in dating or sexing you. Don't ask this question. Instead, ask her out! Then you'll know.

You can't ever ask this because you should not care either way.

Although once I was talking to a girl in class who I KNEW had a boyfriend (someone else mentioned she had one). I knew this so I didn't ask her out or anything. I just asked her what she had done on the weekends and stuff. She would say things like "went to dinner" or "went out to blah blah".

She was probably interested in an upgrade but I never asked her out. Dumb.
