I need help saying the right things. Usually i say something really dumb in a conversation with just anyone and their like uhhh ok. The only people that stick around me are the tolerant ones. I need help learning how to say the right things
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.
Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.
The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
Don't do that! This is reaction seeking.Bible_Belt said:Practice predicting how people will react to something before you say it.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
Enough said... go with it. Good luck!frisco said:Look bro you have some serious confidence issues so you need to work on you inner game and build on that. Understand that life's allot about persuading others that your ideas are cool, W hos to say what I say is better than what you say. When it comes down to it, its how you present what you say through voice tone, body language, and if your willing to say something and stick with that belief and not let outside forces or a fear of being criticized make you feel otherwise. You really need to break you mindset, I assume your saying things and don't have a whole lot to back it. You need to go out and get over this fear go to the mall and purposely say stupid **** to people but try to convince them with how you say things to be interested, you know its dumb but after a while you'll realize that its possible to make any dumb idea socially acceptable.
Nah, people would copy it verbatim and it may not fit your personality or character; you'd end up sounding programmed. Do you rush what you say trying to to be included in the conversation or do you have a problem getting on the same wavelength as everyone else?Rint said:Someone should write a thread about how to say things right. Like how you present yourself
Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
