"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

How many times have we heard this one?

This phrase is so brainwashed into everyone’s heads. Any thoughts one what it really means? What is the woman-ese behind this?

Also, I don't recall the last time a guy said, "I want a girl that can make me laugh" Perhaps

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

That's a prerequisite that I have. I don't want to be the sole entertainer in a relationship, I want someone who's nimble enough to find funny things in different situations and is able to expound on them. Why should I be the only one to find humor in different things?

This is very true. In fact, the next time a girl says that to me I'm going to say the same thing back to her. I wonder how she will react.

She will most likely think, "what....you mean I have to do something? hugh...."

yeah that will fu-ck her up a bit. :)

Humor and wit are masculine traits - thus the woman. being our complementary nature, wants that which she does not have or could attain!

Good luck finding a funny girl -- they don't exist!! Don't confuse funny with "fun" girl!!

True, I haven't met a funny girl yet, although I do appreciate a girl that laughs at my stupid dry humor and rolls with it.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Here's the best come-back like for that one:

"You mean the mirror is not enough for you?" and just jab her like you are teasing her. If she gets offended, "what, dont be like that, why do you take everything so seriously"

I hear that bull all the time. What it is, is that it's not the sole thing she looks for, but one of millions of things she wants.

I had a woman tell me she wanted guy who was good with kids and who had a sense of humor (damn, I didn't call her on it), and "looks don't matter." She volunteered that one. I've known the girl for three months; I started laughing, darn water went down the wrong pipe with that one. She looks annoyed, so I roll my eyes and leave rather than start arguing.

(Right. AND he has to earn 95,000 a year, be always around to enjoy the money with her, he has to work out, he has to be a model, (though looks don't matter... riiiight) he has to have a nice butt, he has to compliment her all the time (but it has to be really, and NOT phoney), He has to take her out all the time (hey, you have to walk the dog sometime). Yeah, good luck with all of that, liar).

Dude, it's a small desire within a million other desires. Just realize that if you make her laugh, it doesn't matter jack squat. It makes some things a little easier, but ultimately, if she's not interested, she's not interested. Just realize she's giving lip service, (and not the kind some guys like)

I have to agree here. I love women as much as the next guy. But the creatures just aren't funny. Even the professional comedian women always pale in comparison to some of the male counterparts.

i've heard this a bunch of times too, but it really doesnt mean much. remember, women's actions matter, not so much their words. laughter gets some attraction, but ur tryin to ge her bf, not her personal clown.

basically, it jus means dont be a boring chump. u dont have to be a clown just not TOO dull.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I dont really know. All i know is that they're just not funny. Some of them think they are, but they're not. I hate when I have to laugh on cue just to continue to move along towards getting some later.

Our natures/brains are wired to be complementary to one another - one is a sender and the other is a receiver!

Just as what men lack in compassion and nurturing the woman has plenty of!!

They find you funny if you are just comfortable in their presence.

I think women have totally different sense of humor. When a woman says she needs someone to make her laugh, she's not really refering to the standup-comedian way of being funny. Men always immediately compare themselves with their favorite standup-comedian, and feel intimidated when they think they can't live up to that "imagined" expectation.

I wonder...can a woman laugh at herself? Never experienced that. I know guys can laugh about themselves. Sometimes I just laugh my ass off about the ****ing dumb AFC stuff I did in the past to get women.

I suspect that women (and a small % men) only laugh at themselves when they're under some kind of social pressure. But that's not what I mean. I mean laughing about yourself - by yourself - because a certain situation just seems comical.

I'm a naturally funny guy if I feel comfortable enough. If i'm uptight being around me will be about as fun as attending a funeral. I think the funny some women think of is relaxing type of humor a few jokes here and there. Not the stand up comedian.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

There are always enough SNAFUs, especially when women are around. If you handle them in a fun way, that should be enough in the "make me laugh" department.

A different question, however.

what is a good comeback if she says "I want a guy who makes me laugh"?
