I never believed them to be rules. I thought of them as turn off's and turn on's. 1. Women get turn on by a guy who funny and is confident about himself, 2. Mystery is nice in that you don't go telling someone your life story in a day, because then there wouldn't be anything left to talk about, 3. Being funny is a great skill to have. The ability to make someone else feel good for that one moment is amazing, 4. At some point in time you will have to start touching them (doesn't matter who started the touching). If you don't the girl will notice your insecure around her or think your rejected her, because you looked discomfort when she touched you, 5. Again, I never understood the point of telling someone your life story. Keep something for yourself, if she really interested in you she will ask and when she does bust her for being nosey.

Also girls are like nobs you can turn up and down attraction levels. Only times you risk lossing big is first impression. So, you have room for error.

I think there is too much generalization here with respect to women going out with the supposed losers/potheads.

I have seen all types of women go out with different types of men for different reasons. There are hot girls who hook up with not so hot guys and hot girls who will only go out with good looking/rich guys.

The hot girls who seem to gravitate to the "losers" tend to have self esteem issues and like some of the posters eluded to, want to control their man and thus, avoid the guys who seem to have it together. There are women who won't go out with guys who are good looking because they want to be the center of attention.
And there are women who perceive good looking or succesful men as players and likewise avoid them.

If a hot woman is confident and secure and has no serious issues, she will go after the best looking and succesful guy she can latch on too. Period. Sure, there are seriously fycked up hot women out there and these are the ones that usually end up with the hardened criminal for example or the girl who thinks she can do no better, but there are quality and beautiful women out there who would love to date you.

I think the best way to overcome your problem is to expand your socialcircle of friends to the increase the odds of you meeting that hot girl who has none of the above described hangups.

The Alphas in BNW are decanted and guided by a system which is run by 12 "World Controllers", they are qualitativly not better or worse than Betas, Gammas, Deltas or Epsilons, they simply perform a different role and are designed for more intellectual work. I have actually known really hot, immature women who liked to have men they can control. Most couples meet each other somehow via their social circles. This is just how it is. The more you put yourself in positions to meet women, the better your chances will be of getting one. The potheads and drunks of course aren't really that interested in women, but they are always around people, and that's why so many losers have gf's. Do you want a gf who goes for these kind of men? The point that was made about women with bf's is pretty accurate I think. Most women are very weak creatures. They can't stand being alone for 5 minutes (which explains their addiction to the dam-n cell phone). I think somewhere in the neighborhood of 80% of women are unhappy with their current relationships. I have had hot women with bf's flirt with me and all that, but I personally don't want a women who is that disloyal. If she doesn't have the decency to at least break up with her current bf before trying to get a new one, then to hel-l with her. Women are like monkeys when it comes to relationships: they won't let go of one branch (man) unless they already have their hands gripped tightly around the next branch. All hot women have pushover men all around them, just waiting for the opportunity to take her (of course these idiot men never do). I think we should all just assume every woman doesn't have a serious relationship, because most of them really don't. Most of it is just pointless. Women are concerned mainly with keeping their social status high. They find friends who are popular, date men who are well-known and valued by other women, and everything a woman does is related to her social status. To the original poster, I don't know if you know many people in the army, but if you don't I suggest you talk to some of those guys.

My friend was like that, loved playing video war games, wanted to kill all the terrorists in the universe, had a Rambo knife in his car. Then went to the army and was stationed in Korea for about 3 years, only past time was going to hoochie clubs. Think about what you are getting into, it's not as glamorous as they paint it.

You can be alpha in every aspect of your life, but if you're not alpha around women, it doesn't matter.
Don't get me wrong, looks, social proof etc. will help you a lot, but if you're missing out on some things you still not getting good results.

Take me for an example, I'm pretty good looking (I score about an 8-9 on rating sites), have loads of friends, I'm smart (not being arrogant over just the truth), I'm healthy and enjoy my hobbies. Still I suck with women (I used to be worse). All these things help you create oppurtunities but if you do nothing or the wrong things, you're still not getting the desired results. Just focus on GETTING the way women respond and the (mating) COMMUNICATION BETWEEN MEN & WOMEN. I'm on my way and I will get there. Focusing on the constant improvement.

This isn't all that relevant to the thread or anything, but we've all heard the saying: "If you want to find something, stop looking for it," or in other words,"if you want women, stop trying so hard to get them."

There is some value in those words of wisdom though. Think about it. If you stop seeing women as something you NEED and start living your life like it doesn't matter if you have women or not, you will automatically be more successful with them...
Now don't take this out of context and start avoiding women and hating them or anything, just start walking around like you are you own man and while you enjoy the company of others and are sociable, you don't need them, and they will pick up on this. Need is a killer.
