Being c.ocky requires a certain degree of narcassism and that's not something you can fake since it's literally a personality flaw.

A lot of men are simply just boring guys. I am a guy with a big personality and wildly entertaining, so I have a difficult time relating to this. There are often men I meet that bore me. Boring guys are generally neither coccky nor funny.

Many relationships diminish in quality and end because a lot of men are boring. Women require more entertainment to attract and to maintain a relationship than they did 20 or 30 years ago. In the last 20-30 years, men haven't gotten substantially more interesting.
