"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Today i realized how little time we have. Today i woke up with a fever, so i went to my pediatrician and she prescribed Mortin to bring down my fever. I was really dizzy, and i waited at the pharmacy for 30 minutes until i finally got it.

A woman sitting next to me, she was like in her 70's, was waiting for like 5 different types of prescribed drugs. I was not feeling well at all. but i saw her left arm, it had a cast on it. Here i am feeling horrible cause of the fever, but i ask, "hey lady, what happened to your arm". She said she fell, breaking her arm and fracturing the hip. She said she just got out of the hospital after 3 surgeories.

Damn. thats when i realized that when you are old, you will always feel sick and fragile, like what i felt with the fever but hers is PERMANENT. So whats up with ppl dissing themselves saying their lives sucks, putting themselves down, or making exucses not to do things, use your time wisely and enjoy life before your life really starts to suck.

Sometimes others sacrifice their most essential needs for others.

I can only feel so lucky that elders in my family didn't take a bullet to the chest just because their quality of life has dropped. What I've learned from my elders will be with me my whole life.

It's good that you talked to her about her arm and understood something, but it's not good to focus on the end. Focus on today :) Carpe Diem people, Carpe Diem.
