i rarely ache

when i do deads squats and bench i RARELY ache even though i go all out on them until my arms and legs wobble ..... does the lack of aching mean i should be doing more ?

I second the No.


Soreness doesn't equal an effective workout. It just means you have microtears and lactic acid built up in your muscles, I think...

I'm rarely, if ever sore after a back workout, but thats my best physical feature...

I'll go ahead and third that. Soreness is completely unrelated to the effectiveness of your workouts. If anything, soreness may indicate insufficient protein consumption, especially on an ongoing basis (personally I'm always sore my first time back after a long break from lifting).
