I'm all for pressing, chinning and squatting but I can't help thinking there are areas of [my] body that respond better to isolation movements, specifically, traps, delts and bis. Am I alone here?
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

basics are the foundations. A strong foundation is required to sculpt that idea physique. That said, they're only foundations. You still need to add the isolation movements to achieve the completed picture.

it's a must that you also do iso movements for delts/traps etc.

You are far from alone. Additional exercises are necessary and crucial to a healthy build. While I do the "Big 3" exercises, they don't even make up a majority of my workouts.
