You guys don't think constantly dressing in a suit could be....trying to make up for something else? Before you call me a hater, just think about it. I dress up when I go out, have a job interview, but thats about it. And that's usually just a shirt and tie. I think the reason you get haters is because you believe you're somehow better than other people that aren't dressed up when you are. Not a good attitude to have. Why would you want to mess with a suit all the time anyway? By the way I'm 23 and pursuing my master's in case you were going to say I'm uneducated or young. It's good to be comfortable in your own skin, or jeans and a t shirt.

well, the fancy suits I only wear to clubs.

By everywhere I don't mean all the time. I wear other stuff, too. Like turtlenecks and stuff.

I DO think I'm above most people where I live though. Where I'm from everyone dresses like a slob and basically plays video games all day or does drugs, parties and smokes weed all day.

Okay I thought you meant literally all the time. I think having a good fashion sense (in an individual way, not in a GQ way) is definitely an asset. The other day for an interview I had on a sweet black alfani pressed shirt with white stripes, matching tie, black pants and a nice new pair of italian shoes. The hostess even came out to open the door for me.

I see alot of guys out who seem underdressed for the occasion and seem to just blend in with everyone else. So I think having your own style whatever that may be is def. a good thing, and it sounds like it's working well for you. I am too lazy to mess with suits very often though lol.

You boys worry too much about how you dress. I will be honest with you. This comes from viewing way too many "here is a pic of me" threads on this site. Those of you who try to look "fly" end up looking like silly little cartoon characters. I laugh my a-- off at you guys. Funny stuff. I even showed a photo of one guy on here to my gf. Now, those of you who post pics where you sport average clothes while taking part in an average activity or pose look fine. It is the former group that are f----- jokes with much bigger issues than this board will ever help take care of.

not really, I like looking good, and I don't wear a suits often, but I like wearing them because I look hot.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

why wouldn't you, just because people are gonna hate you for it?

I live in fvcking Iowa, where people wear farmer shirts, old jeans and tennis shoes.

If you want to live an exceptional life and attract exceptional women you have to dress and behave exceptionally well...

How old are you btw?

Hes absolutely right dress what you want to attract.
I always get females approaching me when i wear one

Well, it's good to follow your own desires about how to dress. Make sure those desires are sensible, though, and not designed to compensate for some other inferiority -- as another poster mentioned. Also, always keep in mind that a man is not defined by his looks. All other things being equal, a good-looking man is preferable to a bad-looking one, but a man has many more important qualities that should receive more consideration.

Absolutely!

"The clothes make the man" mantra is bull****!!! His masculinity is where a man derives his strength - the clothes are externally manufactured - his masculinity is internally, intrinsically derived - his true essence that the female seeks!!!!!

Ok, I look good dressed up, people always say (men and women) that it really fits me well to wear anything classy, business-like, that stands out. What stores are good for this kind of stuff? I have the attitude and body language to pull of almost anything (EXCEPT rediculous hats, goggles, black nails, and outlandish, stupid ****)

I wear a suit to work every single day. Whenever I meet someone I know, they ask why i'm all dressed up. When I tell them it's my workoutfit everyone reacts with "wow" or are impressed in some way or another.

Wearing a suit gives you sense of power and the feeling of being successful and classy. It gets normal after a while though, especially if it's what you wear and work in every day. The effect was alot more powerful before when I only wore it sometimes under special circumstances and sometimes on the weekends.

Now I'm kind of looking forward to wearing my "normal" clothes in the weekends. Otherwise i'd never get to wear all my other clothes.

Suit up, it's gonna be legendary!

Just note that the guys that feel "powerful" or "confident" in a suit are the ones that have inner-confidence in everyday life without the suit. Don't think that by getting a new wardrobe that you will instantly develop confidence overnight and defeat approach anxiety.

You have to define what you mean when you say suit you mean the whole thing? (not just the jacket but the dress pants as well). I personally wear sports coats/blazers over jeans. I don't have a full suit with matching pants yet. Wearing sports coats/blazers over jeans pretty much allows you to dress like this everyday if you'd like. It is casual, fashionable, great peacock item. You can have dozens of combinations depending on the sports coat/blazer you have and the shirts you have. With a suit you basically need a fancy shirt. You can't wear a $20 shirt with a suit but you can do that with a sports coat/blazer and jeans.

What about nice jeans and a blazer guys?
You either pull it all off or you don't do it at all.

So many guys try to go for the Oceans 13 look and then half a$$ it with a pair of jeans.

They look like they are half man, half boy.
