Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

We all want happiness right, but what if you get to the point that putting in the effort is only destroying you. To the point that putting in the effort seems meaningless. That it is more destroying you that it will ever make you happy.

It seems better to throw and the towel, kick back and see what comes down the road.

What is your choice right now, still fighting or kicking back?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

My reading/interpretation follows.

You are saying to us that "putting in the effort" is destroying you. I read that as meaning that you are working with a big imbalance in yourself, which has to be addressed before any "happiness" can be enjoyed.

I think you got it right, if effort becomes such a big deal, kick back and throw in the towel. Your effort is not coming from the right place, so it cannot really win through to any realization of happiness.

Effort has to come from a balanced, happy place to start with. Otherwise it remains unhappy and imbalanced. Until you can find a way to put in 'happy effort', it seems wise to stop putting in effort. You have something to sort out that is underlying/driving your 'effort' but is a fundamental wrinkle in your energetic structure. That wrinkle is causing you pain. It has to be addressed before anything more can be done. Relaxation and attempting to gain awareness would be the recommended way, in my 'umble opinion.

Your humble opinion is better than any moderator of this forum could have put it, thank you.

To follow up on my response about moderators and i am talking about Nismo-9? in particular.

That guy, nismo. Seems to me like true AFC that got to moderator status by being nothing more than a keyboard-hero. And is now talking **** like "this and that" _case closed_ while there is nothing useful to take from what he actually posted. It is sickening, and therefor i say it is not about your status it is only about the quality of your every thread or response you post. And this guy 'ucde' has responded with quality that no other moderator is probably able to.

You cannot give up or throw in the towel until you have mastered the game, after that getting pussi is the least of your worries which is why there's so many old fukrs on here like guru1000 trying to hang around at 50 yrs old.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Yes i understand what you mean about not giving up, but what i am actually thinking about is about throwing in the towel being useful at some point. The more you invest the more you want back, your happiness is determined by what you think is enough and are happy with. When you invest and insane amount of effort and time and end up with a 6 or even a 7, will you be happy?

You might have been the happiest guy in the world had you not invested at all.

About the guru1000's you are talking about, yes they are sickening. And they should just **** off and stop trying to act all wise while not having the success they should have big-talking in the way they do.

You have to understand that the question you are asking can only be answered by you,so do you think that maybe you'd be happier if you were to end up with a 6 or 7 given the time you've invested or end up a bachelor but let's say with a great career with the time you would have wasted?

A Lot of the guys here are concerned about the quality of women they end up with, but really to someone as old as guru1000 the 9's and 10's he claims to get are probably your 6 and 7's being that these guys are so old.

The mindset is flawed because it seems like happiness must be attained by some outside result. You have to be happy along the way othrwise yes, the journey becomes a struggle, and sometimes a painful one. Happiness is not a destination, it's a means of transportation. You have to be happy whilst still setting and reaching your goals. Giving up is a protection mechanism because you associate the search with pain, and the goal with happiness.

Yes, because the guy's state of mind was right from the beginning. If it's not, the saying "a pessimist is never disappointed" comes to mind. Don't be one.

Loco and LuckyStrike: So you got your disparaging remarks off your chest. Good. Shall we now work unilaterally and constructively to help men become better men or continue this juvenility?

Nothing useful comes from you sharing your opinion of Nismo either. Nor will anything useful come of me sharing my opinion about your attitude, so I will keep it to myself..
