"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

I have revolted against facebook. It has grown to be a burden, a security risk, a nuisance and a general annoyance.

I didn't use it often to begin with. I had about 400 friends, but I got tired of replying to people on their walls. I liked it at first to satisfy my inner attention-*****, but I grew out of that phase. I see it for what it is: a way of showing off who you are to other people.

The reason I decided to remove my account is because I don't feel like exposing myself to the whole world and letting them know who I am, what I do, who I see and who I'm related to. I am tired of the fake people who never talk to you, yet wish you "happy birthday" when they see the sign on their homepage. As with most things, I enjoy simple and non-threatening. Facebook has grown to a level where I don't feel like the information that I put on is safe anymore.

Has anyone else felt the same, and if so, how many of you have revoked your accounts?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I didn't revoke my account currently, but pretty much abandoned it. It doesn't fuel my ego anymore since they changed the whole site a couple of months ago. Facebook craze has died down, and it could only have so much real value. It's gonna go very quiet soon. Btw, all your data is still there, in case you wanna change your mind about leaving Facebook. With just two clicks you can bring all your stuff on facebook back live again. They'll never delete that ****.

I use it, it's useful on getting a heads-up on upcoming parties, and I am real forgetful of people's details. But I know what you mean about the 'fake' friends. I purged over a hundred ppl the other month, I never spoke to them, never saw them, so I saw no point in keeping them.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Dude, just keep your profile private, and dont put anything up you wouldnt want a future employer to see.

Mine is pretty bare bones. I dont put up pics and i dont do status updates. And I leave my relationship status on single.

I don't have relationship status up fullstop. That got me some attention for a while from both sexes, both wondering who the hell I was pulling for that to happen.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

A better place, a better time.

No. If nothing else, facebook is convenient as ****.

I thought the point of it was to keep up with people you're actually friends with.
No, because if you're actually friends with them then you'd be actually keeping up with them... without any need for facebook... right? It's made exactly for the people you don't see very often.

All those chick you meet at a party but don't number close and never see again? They pretty frequently post **** up like "Rachael is so bored tonight and wants something to do! txt me!!!" So you message them about how you're going to the bar in a few and they're welcome to come, so they come along and have a great time and that's one more hottie in your social network. Instead of going out with 3 girls that night you go out with 4. Is that a bad thing?

When you friend someone you can also look at all the "events" they are attending, which is also a great way to find out about random parties you wouldn't have found otherwise.

Pulled mine, but never used it much anyway. I figure the people who are close to me will see me, so why worry about anyone else?

I find it very useful to find out about events and keep up with them. Helps me keep in touch with people from HS or past jobs I wouldn't bother picking up the phone and calling. Also helps in meeting new people. I meet a lot of people at parties and get home to see they've sent a friend request. I do the same if I had a good time talking to the person. Guy or girl. I usually don't add someone till i've hung out with them a couple times but on some occasions i've found it useful.

I daily get friend requests from old school mates or even new ones from current classes.

Sure My life would go on without knowing what is going on with these people or commenting/messaging each other, but I enjoy it and its more convenient and less creepy then to ask for numbers nonstop and call someone just to ask about a homework assignment. Especially when its guys talking to guys.

I dropped FB almost as soon as I signed up. It's pretty lame. About to do the same with my MySpace Page... anymore it's just for storing photos and keeping a diary.

I had a myspace in my early 20s, but deleted it after it was overrun by baby mommas. Facebook was the next huge fad, but let's be honest, it's pretty gay. It should be called "dontforgetaboutme.com". I say let the AW women and the lame guys who think facebook will get them laid have at it.

I don't have a fakebook or a SitOnMyFace page.
