Using my power clean, jerk and squat routine. Just weighed myself today, up from 216 to 220. I know it's muscle too. My waistline is the same, if not a tiny bit slimmer. My shoulders are much harder, my arms are bigger, my quads are bigger too, my traps are higher, and my back is harder. This is pretty good for my first time trying to gain weight using weightlifting.

I'll keep reporting how this goes, and see if I can keep up the pace for 6-8 weeks.

I hear what you're saying IronG. You're feeling stronger and looking bigger and even leaner.

But, I don't think it's physiologically possible to gain four pounds of muscle in 10 days.

Sure it is. Lift hard, eat heavy. A guy at DragonDoor gained 30 lbs in 6 weeks using a 20-rep squat 3 days a week routine, and his report was that it was almost all muscle (waistline was the same size). No roids either, just a ton of good calories. He drank at least a half gallon of milk a day. Some choose to drink a gallon a day on this routine (nicknamed "milk squats")

Phantasmal, I lost a tad bit over the summer but not that much. My arms are as big as they were when I was only doing chins and dips, and my traps and shoulders are bigger and harder than ever. I'm going to add a chest workout to the mix today, probably DB bench press.

BTW, if you want to ask the 20-rep squat guy about his routine, he is "Monty H Singer, RKC" on the DragonDoor.com forum.

Word, congrats on the success so far!

Anthony Ellis (the dude from www.skinnyguy.net) claims to have gained 35 pounds of muscle in 12 weeks without roids so I believe you.

Oops, I almost forgot my supps

GNC 100% Whey (chocolate)
Proteincustomizer blend (65% dextrose. 25% egg protein, 5% glutamine, 5% BCAA)
Creatine Monohydrate

After a workout I mix 30 grams of the GNC, 60 grams of Proteincustomizer's blend and 5g of creatine into half a quart of milk. After an especially big workout I buy a quart of 2% and down it, and THEN have my above shake mix too.

Your weight fluxuates throughout the day so if you aren't weighing yourself at exactly the same times then there will be a difference.

I fluxuate about 3 pounds everyday on my scale.

hey guys,
u really can get big without steroids ..
i gained 27 lbs in 2 months (from 140 post operation weight) to 167 .. completely natural, i had to eat to eat like crazy though, and i didn't even take a supplement coz i'm allergic to milk and soy protein ..

salthepal, I agree that you can get big that fast naturally (congrats btw), but where I have my doubts is when someone ignorantly claims it all to be muscle. Especially when they're taking creatine...

Since you can't read, I'll explain it again: I only take it ON WORKOUT DAYS, which means I have only taken 5 grams on those days, for 6 days in over 2 weeks. It's not like I'm loading it.

You may look better and weigh more but it's not all muscle...it doesn't matter who you are....max gains muscle wise are about 1/2 lb a week and 1 lb a week if you are a genetic freak. Even so, congrats on the gains.

1/2-1 pound a week? Sounds like psuedo-science to me. Give me proof of that, because it's been proven false before.
