"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Tonight I went with my friend to see Spiderman 2. As luck would have it I happened to be sitting next to a very attractive blond. Before the movie started I was able to introduce myself. This is what was said:

ME: Hey. What's your name?
HER: Carly.
ME: My name is Robert. I think you are very beautiful Carly.
HER: Thank you, Robert.
ME: Do you mind if I put the arm rest up?
HER: No, go ahead.

I then preceded to Kino her throughout the movie. Unfortunately about half an hour through the movie I started to think her name was Julie for some reason. As the movie ended I prepped myself to ask her for her digits but it went terribly wrong.

ME: Well it was nice meeting you Julie.
HER: My name is Carly....
ME: OH! sorry about that. Well Carly, it was nice meeting you.

At that point I was so embarrassed that I just walked away. Now that I look back at it I should of just gone ahead and asked her for her number. I would have had nothing to lose.

Moral of the story is "try everything in your power to remember her name".

EDIT: forgot something

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

No offense, but that's a pretty creepy approach. You barely know the girl and you're telling her she's beautiful like you want her and she's better than you. Then, because the movie is playing and you have to keep quiet, you kino her and touch her. You don't say a word, but you touch her. As far as you know, she can think you're repulsive, and you're touching her. Imagine a 500 lb woman groping your leg during a movie. Then you plan to end it with a number close with no conversation.

I guess it was worth a shot.

Back to the main point. Yes... remember her name. It'd be easier to remember her name if you were talking to her, but whatever works nowadays.

(Starts sobbing uncontrollably in the corner)

Well that is just sad. Its good you started talking to her, but why did you tell her she's beautiful? pointless. What a boring and mundane conversation. You didn't find anything about her, all you did was show her your nice guy qualities. You could have figured out what school she goes to, what grade, why she likes spiderman, if she saw the first one, if she liked it. What she heard about this one, etc etc.

As far as remembering names: Who cares if you forgot her name heres what the final situation could have been:

You: I'm sorry, but i forgot your name, what was it again?
Her: Oh thats fine, its Carly.
You: well carly i had a great time talking to you, how about you give me your phone number and we can get together sometime?
Her: That sounds great! Its 867-5309.

The embarresment is something you get over in time.

From the almighty Smily face :D

wow now i have your number :p well yeh personally i think it was a bad move, i nice introduction but from the moment you said she is beautiful to the moment you called her julie, it was a disaster, i could list so many thing you did wrong, but instead of that i will just give you a tip or 2 on how to get it right next time. Talk to her as much as you cna before the movie starts, if you compliment her, make sure its only about E.G her clothes or somtinhg like that, not how she looks. You can use Kino whilst you are talking, but unless you are making out, do not use it during the film (holding hands is fine) Do not aks for her number when you have not even talked to her unless you are certian you would other wise never see her again, but if she is a freind of a friend you probably will. Try and get to know her after the film and then ask for her number.

All is not lost, altohugh first impersions are important, i have found there not thta hard to change at first, its only after knowing the person for a long time that they have practicly branded it on your head so my advice is keep trying, get your freind who knows her to invite her to hang out with him you and others (guys and girls) then you can start form scratch, do not even mention to her aobut you messing up with her last time and just use the technqiues that you can find on this website, such as smile, get eye contact, give her either your complete attention or at other itmes very little attention and genrally do not do anytihng a AFC would do.

Whenever I forget people's names I nickname them... I'll tell them
that they look like that. Oo Congratulations you've won the new name of... works easier for me. Majority of people don't care. Makes you seem special.

Really easy to remember. Like I saw news on the new Chinese Rapper Jin. A few weeks later I met this Korean dude Paul.(yeah WTF type of name is paul for a Korean) So i called him Jin. He didn't care and he sorta liked it. Nicknames are cool.

As for your number into that was sorta freeky...

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

That sucks, but good effort.

I was on a date with a girl once and I called her by her sister's name. Most awkward moment ever.

What the hell was that?! God damn now she knows she could have you whenever she wants. No challenge. That was an afc move in my opinion. Spider man 2 sucked by the way.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

beautiful woman hear all the time that they're beautiful, you're said nothing special te her, and besides you forgot her name!
Woman love if you sum up lines they said times ago, so try to remember what they said, saves you from a lot of embarrasment ;-)

But she openend up to you though..
she said nicely thank you when you said she's beautiful. if you would let things took i natural course you'd probably share a drink with her after the movie and watch a movie @ your or her place.

She gave you an opening to talk to her, that's a BIG signal. And she was watching a movie, or she was just being polite.

Either way, now you never know what could have happenend.
