That's what you want, to introduce her to people. See someone you know who you want to introduce her to and point him/her out to the girl. Then walk over there with her and be like "hey I want to introduce you to so-and-so" (say this to the girl who's name you don't know). Naturally she'll automatically say her name and shake hands or whatever and you can pick it up from there.

then the girl will jump in to introduce herself.

i was wanting to do something different though, lol

Tell her it's one of those parties where everyone wears one of those "Hi, my name is _____" stickers. Then when u get there go: "whoops, I guess it's not a sticker party".

mention that people used to call you "bob" at school or some crap like that then say "hmm, did you ever have a nic name at school?" if she says "yes" ask her what she prefers to be called now, if she says "no" ask her if she likes her name and does she know the meaning behind it, or if she could make up a new name what would it be?

there's loads of things you could try.

Introduction routine would be easier tho.
