"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

My "best" Friend just told me that he would prefer living with someone else next year. I feel like a guy that has a bunch of "friends" but no real close friends now, since I ditched my real best friend for me education two years ago. I've made a lot of wrong choices the last few years and am wondering what I Should do? Move back to where I was with my formoer best friend who probably wouldn't accept me back or move in with my new best friend who would rather room with somebody else? I really feel horrible knowing that nobody iin the world would prefer to live with me over someone else. I suck with broads so bad that it depresses me to even think about it.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

The city that sleeps. Sometimes.
what the hell, man.

do you need best friends to love you to validate yourself? you are worse than a girl.

It is of extreme importance for a man to have a company of males. Its wonderful to have great friends you can trust.

BUT

Be yourself first. Do whatever is right to get far in your life. Sometimes friends leave, sometimes they betray you, thats life. Don't ever feel bad because at one point you don't have a best friend and the new one is a bastard. Same way that you shouldn't feel incomplete without a woman.

Anyways, move on, be more social, make new friends. Don't sweat it too much. If you had a good social circle, you wouldnt be sweating this BS.

Did he tell you why?

If he didn't, whatever. If he wanted to do this and you succeed in convincing him otherwise, it still wouldn't be a good idea because I'd imagine that it would be awkward.

Why do you have to live with anyone at all? Why not live by yourself? There are many advantages:

- No quarreling about house rules.
- Less trash generated.
- No concern about who's turn it is to do different chores.
- Fewer dishes to wash.
- When you have friends over, there are no conflicts with the other residents, since there won't be any.
- No wondering "who's cup was that?"
- Sharing the living room isn't necessary.
- Less food consumed, so it could mean fewer trips to the grocery store.
- No collection for the roommate's share of the utility bills, since you pay them all yourself (not a big deal since one person would use less than two).
- No wonder which things belong to who (i.e. that's Bill's television, but Bob owns the couch, etc.).
- You'd have ultimate control over everything.
- Many more.

These are just a few things that I can think of. There might be advantages to living with others, but I have no experience in doing so (the only other people I've lived with are my parents, and I'm an only child). However, I don't see why you can't just live by yourself.

Living alone is GREAT.

Of course, every task is your responsability. But this is GOOD.

At least when you don't do something, you know it's your fault. What about if today's the day of your roommate doing the dishes and he just don't? pure stress.

I'll never regret the decision of living alone. :)

To Djbr:

Finally, someone else who agrees with me!

Whenever people learn of it, the two most common questions I was asked were:

"Isn't it boring?"

"Don't you get lonely?"

They just don't understand. Plus even if those things were issues, they are issues that are fairly easy to resolve, while still living alone.

One idiot even said "It must be really boring. You must wack-off six times a day." He definately doesn't get it.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Haha, say this to your friend:
"It's not that I do wack-off six times a day, it's that I can do that if I will. And if I want, I can walk nude all day long too!"
