"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

When I meet someone new, things immediately start to take off. We'll talk, laugh, have fun. We'll begin to hang out more often. Soon we're almost like best buds and it feels like the other person will follow me wherever I go, then one day things taper off and suddenly they aren't interested as much. And things slowly start to digress from there.

Now the digressing part doesn't happen often (although admitably it has happened with most of my gf's). Im sure this means we need to back the fvck off of each other, and space out the time we spend with each other.

Keep in mind this whole process typically happens over like 6-7 months, with most of the time spent having fun. I'm pretty sure this isn't a typical relationship (this happens with both guys and girls).

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

I'm exactly the same way.

First and foremost, it has taken me a while to accept that I'm just not able (probably you as well) to hold a serious relationship that takes an immense portion of my time. While I try to keep up the same hobbies and schedule that I did while I was single, my stress level and irredibility goes through the roof.

Second, I'm a man with a very strong and a very opinionated personality. Considering this: I'm unable to find a woman that is (1) able to keep me mentally and physically interested by being strong and independant, and (2) be submissive when I want to be a leader and be the man in the relationship.

Obviously, I'm contridicting myself in what I'm looking for. How old are you? Maybe we're meant for bigger and better things, and our relationships should be held off until later in life. Form better bonds with your boys and develop your future first.

See that's the thing though I find myself sometimes really wanting to be in a relationship.

I know I can tend to spend too much time with them, but I often feel like they want to spend that same time with me. I'd back off, allowing them to miss me and all, but I wonder if they won't just lose interest or not even notice. Oh, and I'm in my very early 20's. I've found I'm interested in more mature girls, but always end up attracting younger girls (I look like I'm 17 :p).

Seems like I need a million friends/things to do just so I can keep things normal with relationships.
