"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

BAR STUDYING !

Been studying for my MCITP (computer certification) at home and i'm slitting my wrists of boredom. So now I go to a local bar. And if I keep my beer intake to about 1 every :45 minutes I can study for a 4 hour block with reasonable retention! Not only this but i'm in a bar atmosphere doing a little light gaming of the ladies there, already getting a little chatty with the cutest bartender there. It really works out nice because I can go to a bar by myself and not have any of that "solo dude at the bar" awkwardness. A strange synergy...

Guys have any other unusual pickup techniques like this?

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

I haven't tried bringing work or study materials to the bar, but I can defintely see it working because it gives you a legit reason to be there alone.

What I can vouch for is that some occasional booze can help you get work or study done that you are dreading.

I was at a conference in Vegas. I had to bring some work with me, unfortunately. So I'm in my hotel room trying to do work on my laptop. I was dreading doing it and couldn't focus. Then I remembered, I'm in Vegas. I can get drinks TO GO :). Went down to the hotel/casino bar and got a rum and coke (in a glass I don't have to return) and brought it upstairs. I got my project done in a couple hours.

I just as easily could have brought my computer downstairs and set up on a bar table.

So, dreading doing work or study? Have a drink. Dreading approaching women? Have a drink. Isn't it the same anxiety anyway lol?

But back to the OP, yeah that's a good technique. Plus at the bar, you are around people. Solitary study or work is lonely and boring. Plus it shows women that you are a working professional and not a bar fly.

"Plus it shows women that you are a working professional and not a bar fly."

I think this is key to the technique also, if a girl sees you walk in solo. There's just this kind of looser/friendless vibe you have to immediately overcome. Too much trash just goes to hang out in bars solo. But if you go in there with something to do like this they just figure you get bored studying at home and went in for a brew.

I just started doing this, this last weekend. First night I went in the bartender in question was basically indifferent. The second night she was already initiating conversation, asking questions, showing me how she draws smiley faces on her bar tabs for her customers. When I closed out I asked for her to close me out so I could get a smiley face, she was happy about that, I definitely saw a little IL there sparking. She's got a bangin body but I would give her face a 6-7, definitely awesome for something that works a couple blocks away from your place. Very convenient lay if I can get that going... not bad for two study sessions. I'm definitely going to keep this going, just have to stay disciplined with the beer thing..

I'm definitely going to try this. Any particular subject area you find more appealing to chicks at bars?

I'm a big reader. Maybe I'll just stop by the bar with a classic and a notepad and pen and pretend it's for a class or something.

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Both times I went in right around 5 and spent like 3 hours there. My goal is to get a good 4 hour study session going. My tablet has about 4 hrs battery life while i'm reading so if I can study the duration of the whole battery I would be totally satisfied with that. Four hrs is tough for me man I have a short attention span.

Book choices? Go with that "40 shades of grey" lol. Any girl asks about that, the the conversation goes straight to sex FTW! Might want to pick a little more upscale bar to read in. Wouldn't want to come off as snobbish to some of the ghetto bar rats.

I think also how you study has something to do with your success. I just use my tablet and that's it. I may look a little strange whipping out a text book and taking notes. Makes my presence there a little more light and trendy kinda...
