The simple fact that you are confused and asking advices here means its a red flag.

An interested girl would never do or say anything that could confuse or turn off someone she likes, she wouldnt run the risk to piss him off or lose him.
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I generally agree with that (and this girl is a lost cause so I'm moving on) but i think the flaw in that theory is that it assumes that the woman you're dating is a mastermind with flawless social skills

Considering how few guys that describes i find it hard to imagine that there are no women that say and do stupid self defeating stuff lol.
