Three weeks after tying the knot, a 57-year-old man discovered his wife is a prostitute on the internet. A court in the southern town of Nimes has annuled the marriage after a long legal battle.

The man, identified only as Claude, who lives near Paris, did not suspect his wife, Myriam, 49 years old, led a double life in southern department of Vaucluse, reports Midi Libre.

Myriam and Claude met on a dating website match.com. His wife used the pseudonym Moulipis and said she worked from home as a secretary.

Claude however became suspicious when his wife refused to move and live with him near Paris. It’s only when he entered a small hidden room inside her home, that he discovered the shocking truth, le Parisien reports.

Inside, his wife kept her tools of the trade: several computers and mobile phones to offer her services and receive calls from clients. On the computers, he discovered sexy photos of his wife.

"My client was profoundly shocked. On the computer, he found pictures of his wife in underwear and her rates per hour, half-day and day," says the lawyer representing Claude Patrick Gontard in an interview with the Parisien.

After a long legal battle, a court in Nimes annuled the mariage on the basis that Myriam had hidden the truth about her real job.
