Most of the posts I read here basically say that humor is a natural by-product of confidence. I don't think that's the case - seems to be that confidence in conversation is knowing that you are funny. Does anyone have a good guide on actually becoming humorous? Maybe something about voice inflection, timing, etc.
Yes, I think humor for some people comes naturally. But I'm just so detached from observing the world from a funny perspective. A good deal of it may have to do with too much self-consciousness, but again, I think that's only part of it.
Oh, and I've realized that this is by far the most important part of game.. and also my weakest.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

No answers here. I'm funny only when I'm not trying to be. Otherwise I stay smart and pretty quiet, and play the straight man for my funny friends.

I generally say things that amuse me, it's pretty much natural. Being funny isn't something you can fake. Maybe watch quality stand-up, it could help

Well the first part is to stop being self-conscious. If you're self-conscious, you'll just start worrying if everything you say will be funny...and in result...you won't be funny.

Theres a really good article or two in the DJ bible, you should give them a read.

Basically though just start watching a lot of programmes that you find funny, it should wear off on you.

Also helps to talk about stuff that you actually find funny, rather than just saying something for the laugh.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
