I grew up with a mom and dad. Long story short: dad is a VERY insecure man who wanted me to remain a boy forever. He will not succeed in the long run, BUT unfortunately he has obviously had success with delaying my overall development (including sexual development).

My mom grew up in a dysfunctional broken home and groomed my dad to be her source of strength and stability. Since my dad actually very insecure it made for a bad situation.

Dad is almost normal when my mom is not around but when she is around he has to make his authority known (his insecurity and her needing her "stability").

Much of what went down in my home from my dad seemed to make no sense at the time. However if I put it into the context of his role as my mom's source of "stability" it makes perfect sense.

Being able to look down on me is their toxic partnership.

I have already gone through therapy with a psychiatrist and I am not rambling here as a cathartic process (simply giving information as a matter of fact).
