I've been on a couple of dates with a girl, things seem to be going okay (lots of kino when we've had drink...not so much sober). Anyway, I missed a call from her and called her back twice, then texted... was that too much / clingy?

Any way to recover now, or should I just wait for her to make next move / next her?

two attempts at contact (call or text) and drop it. She'll contact you if she's interested.

NOt as clingy as going through the entire phone book for one girl's address and then showing up at her door unanounced. Now THAT's clingy.

Don't be that guy, OP.

That's not bad. Just keep your cool. She reached out and you reached back normally. Now just sit back and wait.

I have had up and down situations where I probably come off too clingy. Unfortunately I also have had instances where not initiating meetups results in the women going away forever - plenty of dating options here for women and is very common.

The easiest way to mitigate this is to listen to the timeless advice given many times here. But for the sake of understanding, here is what I am doing that seems to be working. First, I do my own thing for most of the week. I am currently learning a new language and educating myself on investing ( read the stock thread). Throw in working out, and thats a full week. On weekends, I allow one night for women if I feel like, and one for friends. NEVER put your social circles on the back burner for women.

For women, I am using night game to try and get numbers, and the dating web sites and talking to multiple women during the week. I am chatting with a bunch, planning a few dates with a few of them. But last night I was offered a date by a 34 year old, but not really my thing so I just stayed in.

With all of this going on, I really don't have the inclination to be clingy - it works wonders. The women I am talking to are basically begging to hang out.

What should you do? Make your life busy in a way that makes you feel like you need to progress towards something. Allocate time to date, and to make new friends and hang out with your current friends. unfortunately time flys when you do this ****!

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Thanks all!

Great advice Synergy, I'll keep myself a little busier, and stop making myself too available.
