I admit that I've always been too much of a nice guy (aka wussy). I'm trying to make myself better with women. what are some pointers on playing hard to get? I wanna be able to get closer (both physically and emotionally) with women in a "more than just friends" way.

the only real way is to have options. That way you will literally be hard to get. If you opt for the fake path, be busy and aloof. Respond sparingly to her advances. If you are desperate, she will see right through any act you put on though so I don't advocate pretending to be hard to get.

Consider it step 3 in the process, with Step 1 being getting a woman to indicate interest and Step 2 being where you give a positive response to that interest. Doing a good job on steps 1 & 2 is what makes step 3 work. It's a push and pull. You pull back when she pushes forward.

Yep. It's not about playing hard to get. It's about seriously being hard to get.
First step is to get a life. Get some awesome hobbies. Make some great friends. Have adventures. Girls like me because I can sit down for a drink, tell some cool/funny stories, and then I disappear for a few days leaving them to wonder, "Where did that fun guy go?" And that's not a game I'm playing. I'm genuinely too busy to keep in touch all the time.
So, by having an active life, you will literally become "hard to get".

I agree with what has been said. Generally speaking, women want what they cannot have and like tension and drama. You need to live a busy life, filled with hobbies, activities, and date plenty of women so that you have options. When you literally have 3 different women that you can possibly go out with on any given day, you know you are busy and filled with different opportunities.
