Thing is I've been waiting forever to hear from my university(University of Minnesota) and I was wondering how to open an account with a unversity even though I'm not a student there.
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I don't know if this sounds stupid, but if you are NOT a student from the university, you simply can NOT have an email account from the university. Simple logic. It's not hotmail or yahoo you know...:nono:

In theory you CAN'T, unless you're friends with a sys admin that can give you an e-mail address.

So Mus, are you a student at UofM? If you are, I suggest you talk to the IT folks and they'll hook you up.
