"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

How to find out what class she is in?

Hello

First off let me say hello to everyone. Ok, so where to begin.. Hmm. I'm not the Prom King when it comes to looks or popularity but I am friendly with almost everyone in my class (in my high school the class moves together to each subject except the electives).

They know me well and I can keep them in stiches for hours. I had a low confidence level for a while but it's gone up exponentially the last few days. I've been with 2 girlfriends before. I guess I have some charm because according to HotorNot I'm a 6.8 and these girls were 9's and 10's. The problem is that all I had to do was be in their same class and just be myself and they made the first moves..

I recently saw a girl who is a 8, maybe 8.5. Well, she's good looking so I thought that I should try to talk to her and see what she's like personality wise. Here is the problem.. I don't know how to approach her. Usually I walk home from school but she gets on a city bus that goes in the same direction as my house so I can board it with her if I needed to. I was thinking of arriving at the bus stop a couple minutes after she does.. But I don't know what I could say from there?

If you guys could help me.. I'm not asking for advice about confidence, etc, because I'm not scared, but I need to find out what class she is in but I don't want to say it in a way as though I REEEEEALLY want to know (which I do) because it might sound a bit stalkerish / obsessive. So if you could help me with what to say.. :)

Thanks.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I can't tell you exactly what to say... but I'll leave you off with this:

Read articles that covers conversations from this site... and SoSuave.com... and the dj-bible at the very bottom of this page.

This isn't me saying 'shut up'... it's just that if you read all of those articles... you WILL get a good picture on how to do it without asking for advice again.

I read the articles but they all seem to say the same thing: "You have to make the first move so approach and talk".

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to sound like Mr[lack of]Confidence here but I don't think that would work in my case. I'm actually trying to get to know her, not just attract her. All these smooth-talking maneuvers might work great for picking up the ladies, but that's not what I'm interested in (yet). Again, I don't want to sound stalkerish. The hair on the back of her neck might stand on end if she got complimented on her jeans from some total stranger who might be a grade older than her, no? How would I be able to strike up a casual conversation?

Thanks..

Exactly. strike up a conversation, make nice and ask casually. best way to get information is directly from the source. much less stalkerish than asking her friends, and letting it get back to her, or watching her to see which class she goes to.

well since you arent worried about picking her up, she cant "reject" you, and you have nothing to fear. keep it fun, ask her if they are serving anything edible in the cafeteria today.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
