Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Tell me about yourself.

I have no clue how to answer this. I just started getting my life on track and don't really want to get in to it with someone I just met. So whats a good answer? or How do I dodge this question?

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Hmmm.... You want to know more about me so early. You must really be attracted to me.

Well, ask me a thing or two you want to know about me in particular, and Ill see if I can tell you. . . . .

She asks, just answer, no big deal, dont go blah blah about yourself. If you hit a long uncompfortable pause, get closer to her and kino, take her hand for instance. When you talking to the girl lean back, spread your arms and just relax.

I would have a preset story. Well, I think one way for you to get to know me better is to hear about this last weekend/this time I was in China/the new business I'm starting/how I spend time with my friends, etc. etc.

Or, you can bring up something kind of dopey that chicks are into, like personality tests or horoscopes or the ennegram, etc.

This is like the comment "Say something funny."
I'm a funny guy. I got this from a girl I once dated.
That's like kryptonite for me. I become seriously unfunny when I'm forced into coming up with something.

But, you can always come up with something for when she asks you in the future.

I got this from a woman, and I just talked about random stuff. Not the best answer. "Well, I graduated from this school, you already know I'm an entertainer..." I DID manage to end with:

I'm an Aries. I like long walks on the beach, I would love world peace, puppies... and one of my hobbies is I study squirrels. I give them tranquilizers, wait till they're asleep, I sneak up to them and shave off all their fur. You know... just to see what happens to their self esteem when they're bald.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Umm how about:

"What would you like to know?"

If you sincerely don't know what she's asking, ASK HER! Just because you meet someone with little communication skills who ask ambiguous questions, you don't need to respond by guessing what they'd like to know. Besides, what she may be doing is attempting to qualify you. Turn it around and qualify her by taking note about the types of questions she asks you. For example, does she want to know about you or is she more interested in what you do or what you have.

It's a dumb question and frankly it makes the girl a bit unattractive in my eyes. That said, a preset story is great. Take an enneagram test and use it to your advantage. I'm lucky b/c I'm a seven. That means I have a love of life, pleasure, new experiences. I tend to be positive and energetic and generally more concerned with enjoying life than external achievments, such as career advancement.

Imagine what you can do by explaining the test, how it works, what you are, what it says (positive) about you, and then inviting her to take it and then you can compare notes. (You can also just guess what she is and start telling her what it means).

It's basically like palm reading, but it has the patina of scientific validity.
