Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.
She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.
Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.
So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.
The words come later. The impression comes first.
You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.
Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.
She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.
Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
Befriend the jocks and football players, all chicks loves football players because it's a tough a sport and they're all brainwashed by MTV to think jocks are studs. DO GO TO PARTIES (especially the first few so you become friends with those kids), HAVE A SOCIAL LIFE and make sure you're cool. (Play sports, funny, goodlookin/dressed and social/outgoing.) If you can't do those then don't complain when ur stuck with nerds.dave007 said:ok...I am sure all you guys wanted to set this part of your highschool life right...but still i feel we must dicuss this topic in detail and find a solution..
doesn't high school suck?Bling said:Hate to be a prick, but you won't ever be popular. I remember walking in my freshman year thinking I was going to be so loud, and so confident. I was going to be popular, I was going to **** so many girls. Was I loud and confident? Yes. Did I become popular or **** so many girls? No. I was annoying and still the same virgin I am today at 17. You won't ever **** the hottest girl. Sorry. That's how high school is. From day one, you have a glass ceiling. Very, very, very few can actually break it. The way to be popular is to **** the hottest girl (what do you have to offer to get her to look your way?), be the hottest guy (pure genetics), score TDs (pure genetics- and probably only baseball or basketball players get some sort of attention. Otherwise sports don't get you ****ed.), or have something so ****ing special about yourself that everybody wants to get to know you like being the governor's son or something. Even then, the popular life is pretty overrated. It's full of annoying suckups, drugs, alcohol (I'm not saying they're bad that's your decision, I'm saying you have to do them to maintain the popularity), and people that don't give a **** about you. Strive to be happy with people that want to be with you for who you are. I know that's straight out of the parent handbook, but trust me, people will notice and you will gain some sort of popularity from it. Not trying to be popular and accepting who you are will help you be more popular.
Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
Yup I agree for the most part. I think u can get popular though. Just hang out with the same kids do all their **** go to parties, etc. I know a girl who's hella smart, all that, always had the attitude, always had confidence, all she did was throw a party at her house. It was right after exams too, so that probably helped.Bling said:Hate to be a prick, but you won't ever be popular. Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."
You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.
She's been waiting forty minutes.
Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.
And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.
Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.
The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
