Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

So, before I was traveling to another city for business. I tell a girl that I'm seeing where I'm going to be. She tells me that coincidentally she's going to be in the same city at the same time. She then says that "I can see you anytime" (in our home city), and that she already has plans. We're not exclusive and I'm not upset that she had plans. Yet, the way she came across with the "I can see you anytime" felt like little slap in face, taking me for granted and made me want to say... uh no you can't see me anytime you want. She then contacts me after the trip to get together for drinks - and I don't want to even respond. Am I being too sensitive & egotistical or was I disrespected and should I write her off?

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Not being sensitive at all. One of my plates started responding to requests hours later or 'forgetting.' I didn't confront her bad behavior, but I did ghost for about two days. She sweetened up, but she still isn't sweet enough. That's partly why she can't advance past plate level.

I say ignore her for a few days. She's way too comfortable.

That was her way of teling you: "I'm seeing/banging someone else when I get there". Think about it if the shoes were reversed. If you had someone else in the other city to bang and she was going to be there also, who would you see? Obviously the chick you only get to see once in a while. Which is why she responded the way she did, it was actually just a continuation of the unsaid sentence I just quoted above. Except she left in vague terms "I have plans".

No reason to be mad or pissed, she isn't your GF, go see her and bang her. Stop being so sensitive.

I agree with @marmel75

Single life is one big open relationship. Plates are part of it. She told you in a nice way that she had some D lined up and she would get with you when she got back. Its not a relationship, so you can either be ok with it, or cut her loose.

I am certainly a big hypocrite when it comes to spinning plates. I always assume any decent looking chick is talking to multiple guys, but if/when I find out they are sleeping with them as well, I just withdraw attention.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.
