"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Exhibit A: You have a girl you just met that texts you a lot, but when your together she seems like she wants to just be friends.

Exhibit B: You have girl you just met, that never initiates texting with you, but always responds with long answers and is very text flirty with you after you have texted her, always comes over when you ask her, and when your together she lets you touch her and she wants to be close to you giving you all the signs that she sees you as a possible love interest or sexual partner

Exhibit C: This is the easy one, she never texts you, doesn't respond to your texts most of the time, and never follows through when you want to hang out with her

In my case I am dealing with situation B.

My question is how much do you look into texting when the girl doesn't text you first, but otherwise shows all the obivious signs of interest towards you and never turns down your offers to hang out one on one. Is she trying to appear not needy?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Obviously any interactions you have in real life hold much more weight than online/text/over the phone

Some girls just flat out refuse to text first. They want to seem mysterious, they want to seem busy, they don't want to bother you, they want to be chased, etc etc. Whole host of reasons why girls very rarely text first.

You just have to push forward and don't let it bother you. That is assuming of course they are showing interest when you're with them in person.

If they're not showing interest in person and they don't text first, take the hint.

If they are showing interest in person and don't text first, keep pushing forward with your game.

It's not what she says, it's what she does.

Texting? Don't read too much into girls, period. After two weeks of dating (three dates with heavy kissing) I had one who on a Monday night demanded that we talk more often (at least every other day), keep in touch more, and that I not play games. The following night I called her and, in a somewhat hostile tone, she told me I shouldn't call her so much because we're not boyfriend/girlfriend.

Is she on the rag? Is someone else now in the picture? Is she a nutjob? Who the F knows.
