The reason you are like this is because you are doing the right thing. You have a kid so there is no reason to have any relationship that is not about sex. There is nothing a woman can provide for you that is worth the investment of time and money she presents. So yeah as soon as she starts trying to lasso you with affection you bail. It's the optimal path.
