"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Oh, and just for the record, I didn’t lock your thread up because “you’re not into my women”.

I locked it because you singled out, stereotyped and insulted an entire ethnicity.

Racism.

Quite an impressive feat, considering that I’m a conservative and think most liberal accusations of racism is eye rolling bullsh*t.
Well hold on now, you know people are racist against blacks and other races all the time so why can I not say anything poorly about Italians? Even then I said I want to avoid Italians, that is really it.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

Who gives a fvck?

What you need to learn about people who are NOT racist is that it doesn’t matter what color skin is involved.

It’s still racism.

That sh*t will get a thread locked up.
But I barely even said that, I said how I am not into the women and prefer not to be around people of that background

Fair enough man, you're right. I was overboard with that comment and do apologize for it. I would like that thread unlocked since I genuinely want to know more about NYC.
