"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

How do you get someone to ACTIVELY LISTEN?

When I speak, I sometimes find myself saying "you know/you know what I mean?"

When you are speaking with someone and they are listening they usually say "uh huh/yeah/etc." to show that they are listening.

But what do you do when no form of agreement or active listening is being presented. I don't want to say "you know" because it is low value type conversational skills.

Any Suggestions?

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Active listening isn't something that you can make someone preform as it is a skill in itself to preform. What you can do while speaking is engage the listener by talking about something their interested in, which you'll be able to tell through their feedback, or engage them further into the conversation by asking them open ended questions, sharing similar experiences ect.

Face it, some people are incapable to actively listen. Live with it.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Lots of mixed replies there. Poeple can actively listen, i do it all the time. I love listening to what people say and it does EXIST. Just look at Physchiatrists, they listen to people, its their job, so it must exist. Like someone said before, eye contact is vital. But, one thing that they havent mentioned is that if you want people to actively listen to you, actively listen to them. And just let them talk because people will say alot more than you though they would say because most people dont actively listen. Just ask someone to be honest and show that you value what the say with constant eye contact and then with any luck they will actively listen back in return.

Maybe i've gone off topic but i hope it helps. Good luck.

well im following i think. Just dont ask people "Are you following?" or more to the point, you should know the signs of when someone is actively listening such as eye contact, nodding. It's ok to chekc that someon estill understands what your saying but use more positive words like "Im glad that you understand." and "Yeah I totally agree/I can understand" instead of aksing them outright.
