Let’s use Pulp Fiction (the movie) as an example. Perhaps, not the best of examples, but good enough to illustrate the point:
1- Bad Boy = Butch (Bruce Willis)
2- Evil Man = Vincent Vega (J. Travolta) and Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson)
3- Punk = Ringo (Tim Roth)
4- Aszhole = Jimmie Dimmick (Tarantino)
Butch was a tough man. He was not a criminal. He was not evil. But he was capable of going to an extreme out of survival instinct.
Vega and Jules were cool characters. Tough guys for sure. But they have zero respect for life; therefore, they were evil men.
Ringo was just a punk.
Jimmie Dimmick was an azz. LOL.
But that’s MY view. It is obvious that everybody has a different view. The thing is…many women say they like “bad boys”. And from that context (which I’m assuming is the one in this Forum), they don’t mean “evil man” or “criminals”. Remember the “boy” after the “bad”.
