I was curious to hear what you guys think, folks. In this superficial American dating culture, what do you think are some of the manifestations and clues women see in particular men that lead them to conclude that they have good genes and consequently become interested in procreating with them? Are there any other physical manifestations some of these women look for besides a guy being toned and muscular? We've talked on this forum many times about women who as unfair a decision it may be, leave the good men who have stood by them for most of their lives and go on to have children with other men who they felt perhaps had characteristics their original mates were lacking in.
I had an experience at my gym yesterday that was quite interesting, at least to me. I wish it had come from the mouth of a woman, but I am yet to come across a woman who has ben that direct with me. I agree with you guys that when you work out consistently and your body develops, you don't even notice it half as much as strangers. Many times I still feel as if I haven't changed that much since I began hitting the gym two years ago, in terms of physical build.
I was using one of the triceps machines at my gym yesterday and had one of these under armour long sleeve shirts that seems to fit my physique quite well-biceps, triceps and abs, which I have been working on extremely hard. One of the front desk receptionists at my gym, a guy came up and asked me if I played sports. I said "no," and I was curious as to why he asked, and he told me it was because of the way I looked. He asked me if I had always looked like that and I told him "no," that I pretty much try to keep away from diets high in fat such as fries, deep fried foods, etc. But then I felt quite uncomfortable when he proceeded to tell me his name, shake my hand, and ask me what was mine. Although I told him, I also added, "this gym has some really hot chicks here. I gotta make sure I hustle with and hook up with quite a couple of them," so that in case he were gay and had a motive behind introducing himself for me, he would see that I don't engage in that kind of lifestyle.
But his comments at least made me possibly start to understand what some of the women in my gym who may have noticed me might also be seeing and also some of the things those women tend to check out in men in general.
