You can start one on Blogger. Then you need to write something interesting. Then, you need people to read your blog which is probably the most difficult part. I get most of my readers from my Youtube channel. Then, I believe you can put Google ads on your blog, and everytime someone clicks on an ad, you get money (just don't plan on getting rich off your blog).

What'd be really awesome is if this forum gave us the ability to lock our own topics as other forums have.

Then we could say what we really want to say without having to deal with the morality brigade trying to pull us into an epic 9 page morality debate with some bullsh!t about what we are saying is not fair to women or someother time wasting argument they may want to have with us about an individual point that must be debated into the ground for some reason by them to feel they've done their job for Jesus, Aristotle or the scales of truth and justice, etc.

With adsense, you can make money in two ways: from ad impressions and from ad clicks. Ad impressions just mean that someone visits the site with the ad on them, and with clicks, someone actually has to click on the ad.

The amount you make per ad really depends on the market, but ranges from about 3-60 cents per click, and about 5-50 cents per every few thousand page impressions, so you better have a lot of traffic!

And BTW, I would recommend going with WordPress for your blogging platform. Much better than Blogger and pretty much everything else out there.

Internet marketing! Now we're talking.... if you're serious about making money, don't use a free provider like blogger. Go to namecheap.com and register a domain for $9, and setup hosting over at hostgator.com. They have unlimited hosting plans for less than $5 a month.

Also, instead of adsense or PPC advertising as revenue, consider affiliate marketing. If your blog is on a popular topic, such as fitness or weight loss, you can use your blog to promote other people's products (via product reviews, email marketing, etc.) and take a 75% commission on every purchase made from your affiliate link. If your site gets a decent amount of traffic, you could be making more money in a month than most people make in a year!

A couple of days ago I set up Wordpress on a site that I already own SUPER easy since I have godaddy as hosting. It was just a couple of clicks and I was done!

I am essentially a pioneer in a new "thing" that has the potential to help out a lot of people. It isn't as mainstream as weightloss or sexual enhancement, but it's a ground floor business that has super high profit potential and I should be able to get a pretty good audience once it takes off. I am essentially cementing my status as the forerunner and expert in this field as we speak....

Since on this particular site I will be selling my own products, I don't want to junk it up with ads, so the affiliate thing is of great interest to me. Where can I get more information?

Agree, Wordpress offers the best perspectives for bloggers. It has user friendly CMS, more than 50k awesome plugins, it is responsive and is an open source software. Moreover, WP does a good job of promoting best practices of SEO (I just order some links at https://linklifting.com/ and that's all).

You can use some simple CMS for building your blog. Just choose the one and then search some video tutorials on youtube. It is not so difficult.
