How did your divorce go or engagement that never happened

While divorce sucks. I had an amazing post divorce. Killed it on Tinder. Got a teen girlfriend (I’m middle aged). Ultimately. My ex-wife wanted me back so bad we became FWBs.
Again. It was so stressful, my hair went gray and my work forced me into an EAP program.

Post divorce I became a crazy wild man drunkard banging girls decades younger than me. My ex-wife coped by buying a Porsche

My divorce was brutal, worst case scenario, vindictive & bitter ex + young child = disaster. It spanned several court cases involving abduction/relocation, parental alienation, and estrangement. Not to mention the financial toll as I cleaned out by the lawyer and was forced to pay child support twice what I should have due to loopholes in state laws.

Although my post divorce freedom period was spectacular, being older & wiser dating young women, having fun again, but it was short lived. After a couple of years of trying to live some good life I fell into a long period of strife and depression, from the burdens of alienation, estrangement, finances, and other responsibilities.

It took its toll on me because it was so difficult for such a long time and I admit over time it left some scars inside of me that affected my mental makeup and social life & skills. It's the reason I started lurking here years ago, reading the old articles, and became a member. .... and the reason I chose my forum name.

Yeah, self represented and did the paper work myself. Watched some movies in the cinema near the court house.

Its one of the hardest things to ever go thru, but we got a lot sorted out and get along fine with each other these days.

As far as splitting assets and the court part, that was painless. We didn't need any overpriced lawyer because we were civil and respectful with each other.

It was probably one of the best things to ever happen to me. It forced me to get out of my own element and once I started understanding women, I had a 5yr run of dating all sorts of wild women. It was a freaking blast.

In hindsight, it would've been far more shrewd to gift her little sister(19 at the time.
