After wanting to read up on what happened to Roosh V, I discovered from the search results that his old forum had been revived by a fan, and then while lurking, I came across a post where other forums including SoSuave was mentioned. I then checked it out and decided it was probably the best and most active manosphere forum out there now, so I signed up and here we are.

Got turned down by a girl I was interested in, like with many girls before her, but that time I finally thought differently.

Instead of continuing to just be lost I finally started wondering why the hell I couldn't get what all my friends seemed to get. I set out searching for answers on Google, but it would take a couple of months until I found something that actually seemed to address the problem.

The first things I found for a long time was just cheesy pickup lines, I immediately knew that wasn't it. I then came across a Norwegian blog talking about pickup, but from the perspective of starting out at my level, full of social anxiety and then figuring out how to succeed. I immediately knew this was the sort of thing I was looking for, how to go from a fvcking loser to someone who succeeds with women.

They had a forum and someone there posted a link to the Book of Pook. I read the entire thing and had realization upon realization throughout it. It wasn't until I was done reading it that I realized that this "book" is really just a compilation of forum posts made by someone calling himself Pook, and this was the forum it was posted on.

That's how I ended up here back in 2013.

It was 2008 long story short I was googling on how to get a girl or stuff like that heavily at that time.
Found the forum in August of 2008 totally changed my view on things, SIgned up in September and the rest is history

The old lady stumbled onto SS in the summer of 2015. I was in my first relationship and LTR post divorce and my man had an ex-wife who was diagnosed BPD (and she was utterly diabolical). I was researching BPD and an old thread here surfaced in my search. I started reading and realized my bf was not alone in dealing with serious crazy.

I lurked for months until in December of 2015 when I felt compelled to contribute my thoughts on a thread made by an arrogant young man.

Been here ever since. I totally embrace this place as a male space, so I try to conduct myself with grace, and appreciate the very real need to help men figure out relationship stuff and life stuff.

You really achieved that. Going from a limited experience high school to a 30 year old man with a 90+ notch count is a success story.
