I just hit the Gym and now I'm sitting down with a 6 pack. Is this going to ruin my hard work at the gym? I drank a protein shake before and after the gym and I stopped working out about an hour ago, and I just cracked a cold one.

It's bad, it will most likely ruin your hard work. Your body will only work on the alcohol while it's in your body. Alcohol is also a powerful aromatase inducer, causing your testosterone to be aromatized into estradiol.

Once a week? Not too good but if you're superclean the rest of the time, insignificant.
Every time? Then why are you working out.
Once every 6 months? Have more than a few.

Thanks. I poured out the beer when I read this yesterday.

what the damn, having a few beers after your workout won't waste the working. Have a protein shake before them then go back to normal after your few beers.

Yeah I know alcohol preferred as fuel when it's available but it's not gonna waste your workout :)

I'm not saying having a couple of drinks on the weekends will have a large effect on you, but I'd advise against drinking the same day you workout.

I think it's just a matter of common sense. The OP said he just sat down with a 6-pack. If he finishes the whole 6 pack hours after completing the work out, I would have to think yes, it's a waste. If he's going to have one beer, I don't see it's worst thing in the world.

Now that we cleared that up, I just drank a 6 pack and I lifted weights yesterday.

How bad is that?

Why on earth would you drink if you train? Let alone RIGHT AFTER you finish weight training?

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
