Horror movie suggestions

The only way for a movie to be scary is to craft an dreadful atmosphere through music, imagery and psychological tinkering....

That's the reason I love Ridley Scott's 1979 Alien. Seems like I don't have to tell you anything about it.

Sinister with Ethan Hawke is one of the best horror movies, I've watched over the last years. Nothing really new, more of classic horror with tense atmosphere intensified by music and disturbing scenes instead of heavy visual voilence.
