"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I am a huge fan of the exercise where you lay on your back, then pull your knees to your chest and your chest to your knees so you're balancing on your butt, and then you decline back down. Also if you have a pullup bar, you can do leg raises and these two exercises offer more resistance than crunches which will make your abs stick out further, and the sets don't take as much time to complete. They are still KILLER though.

Men's Health has a FANTASTIC ab workout book that goes through diet to workouts and timing. It has excellent nutrutional insight and authoritative knowledge of muscles and proper training techniques. Really good information if you want that ripped look.

bicylcles are awesome. So are V-ups. Don't slouth on form though, back completely straight, as if you were doing a deadlift or squat.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

I used to have an 8-pack, from just doing crunches...

I'm working at getting it back now. When you do crunches, the key is not to do a lot of them until your abs get numb. Instead, aim to do only 12-15 reps, but you have to do them in a way that you reach failure at that point. When you move your chest up, exhale and tighten your ab muscles, but don't loosen them on the way down. Also, when you're at the peak of moving upwards, do a couple of mini-reps...as in, slightly move back down and back up, inhaling and exhaling as you do. I usually do 3 mini-reps for each rep. And move down slower than you move up. I do 3 sets of 12-15 reps.

I guarantee you'll feel the burn if done right. I don't remember where I read this, but these are apparently called "killer ups" or something like that. Don't work abs everyday...like 3 times per week is better...because the muscles need rest like any other body part.
